When visiting Yamashiro, it is impossible to miss the giant, golden Buddha in the room!  Buddha, which means the “awakened one,” refers to the Indian prince Siddhartha Gautama and his quest for enlightenment that led him to be named “The Buddha.” It is said to reflect good fortune to all in his presence and also provide inspirational value. The placement of a Laughing Buddha (or Happy Buddha) statue in a public venue brings in good vibes and serves as spiritual inspiration for humans to strive for inner peace and happiness. We mean… look at that face! How could it NOT bring a smile to yours?
