Yamashiro's Guest Chef Series returned for its 3rd installment on March 19, 2014 to celebrate our 100-Year Anniversary. Executive Chef Brock welcomed retro pop soul duo David & Devine, whose original works were performed live while Chef Brock and guest chef Betty Fraser of Grub Restaurant prepared an unforgettable 5-course dinner.

This was more than just a night of good food and good music though. It was a celebration of a 100-year history and a great demonstration of how Yamashiro has been able to evolve with the times while still maintaining a strong bond to our historic Hollywood roots. The night was made extra special with the presence of owner Thomas Y. Glover and the Glover family who have owned Yamashiro since Thomas O. Glover first acquired it in 1948.

Chef Brock’s Modern American 5-course menu will be accompanied with wine pairings and highlighted by a taste of Chef Betty Fraser’s Grub. Each dish was inspired by a different David & Devine song and the band played the tune while diners enjoyed Chef Brock's creations.
