Yamashiro’s new remodeled lounge

Last renovated in the 1980’s, the newly remodeled lounge is designed with a mixture of both classic and modern touches that really bring the lounge to life. Mixing old Hollywood glamour with modern industrial sleekness allows for a more open and inviting ambiance, that will be sure to impress any date. Whether you are just having a drink before your reservation or enjoying the amazing view and cocktails, the lounge is the perfect spot for a night out on the town like no other.

Original doors from the 100 year old structure are used for the back-lit ceiling installation and provides a glance at the vast history of the restaurant. The gold chandelier that once hung in the outdoor summer home (which now houses our amazing Buddha sculpture) now lends it’s opulent beauty to the inside of the restaurant.

Sushi Heaven

We’ve died and gone to sushi heaven.

One of the best parts about getting married at Yamashiro, besides the stunning LA views and intimate garden ceremonies, is that you can treat your guests to a culinary experience they’ll be talking about for years. These are the most important people in your life – why not give them the best?

In addition to hand-passed hors d’oeuvres and delicious entrees, one wedding option is this impressive sushi display. Made up of yellowtail, tuna, shrimp, salmon, California rolls and more, this display might get more attention than the flowers – but you won’t even mind.

Temperatures are expected to hit the triple digits this weekend, and we’re craving something icy cold & refreshing – enter the Shiso-Hito, our new summer cocktail! With shiso leaf, lime, vodka, & housemade shiso-yuzu syrup, this is the perfect summer drink.

Shiso is a Japanese cooking herb from the mint family. You may have seen it holding grated wasabi next to your sushi, but it works perfectly in this refreshing cocktail! It comes together wonderfully with the tart, grapefruit-like flavor of the yuzu to create a beautiful beverage that will quench your thirst on even the hottest LA day.

Join us for dinner or at the Pagoda Bar Thurs-Sun and cool off above the city.

From beer and wine to Mai Tai’s, the summer essentials are at the Pagoda Bar. So grab the crew and meet us there!

Summer Eats: Filet Mignon Carpaccio

Our last summer special to share is this vibrant, colorful, refreshing appetizer!

This is our Seared Rare Filet Mignon Carpaccio, served with fried shallots, soy vinaigrette, shaved parmesan, sesame seeds, and micro arugula. This starter is perfect for the warm summer nights we’re used to here in Hollywood – light and cool, but packing a punch when it comes to flavor. The soy vinaigrette works wonderfully with the fried shallots and tender meat to create a dish that is both surprising and refreshing.

Order this summer special on your next trip to Yamashiro and you won’t be disappointed! This starter will go perfect with your favorite sushi to start your evening off right.
